There’s nothing like going somewhere for the first time to give you anxiety. Especially when it is a room full of your colleagues, or in this case fellow bloggers. The Arizona bloggers Christmas bash was the first of many gatherings, I hope to attend. This beautiful event was organized by the lovely Cathy Mini of the blog “Our Mini Family“.
25 of us ladies with blogs and followings big and small gathered together for a night of Christmas fun. We had a white elephant gift exchange while noshing on decadent desserts from Frosted Frenzy Cupcakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Macaroons from Dessert First by Veronica. We also got to try some mouth watering sandwiches from Worth Takeaway.
The gift exchange was wayyy too much fun. We played it dirty, so your gift could get snatched. Poor Camille from “Friday We’re In Love” had her gift taken twice! Below is a picture of my darling friend Sara opening her white elephant gift.
We each got to take home some amazing swag in these adorable feminine reindeer bags from “Happen by Lucy” a local etsy shop. Each bag had:
- Extra virgin olive oil from The Queen Creek Olive Mill
- A custom hair color kit from e Salon
- SUPER SOFT leggings from Amelia James
- Peanut butter samples from Justin’s
- Gift Cards from Keepsake, Natural Grocers and Redemption Market
- Samples from Bob’s Red Mill
- A Pogo Pass
We also had a raffle which included some of the items pictured below.
Raffled off was a beautiful gift set from Vim+Vigor Candle Co (My friend Sara won this, I’m still trying to get her to re-gift it to me for Christmas haha). There were also items from State Forty Eight, a gift set from Cracker Barrel, a gift card from Peace Love Lash, Sunglasses from Amevie, a beautiful macrame Christmas tree from Moss Points North and a Gift Certificate from the AMAZING food truck Waffle Love.
Here’s Sara (looking amazing as always) next to her dorky friend Katherine. The backdrop above was also done by Bobee a local party decor company. I absolutely loved meeting my fellow bloggers for the first time. I think it was amazing that our host Cathy was able to find so many wonderful local companies to help make our blogger bash a hit! Nothing makes this Arizona girl happier then supporting our local businesses.
What will 2018 bring? I hope many more of these Arizona blogger meetups and get together’s. Nothing creates a feeling of community like in person meetings and conversations. Here’s to 2018! May you be a exciting and productive year.
