CHICKEN POT PIE RECIPE:

This recipe is so good! After looking everywhere for a quick and easy chicken pot pie, I decided to just make up my own. This has nine ingredients total and tastes amazing! Much healthier than the store-bought versions. You can omit the meat if you’re a vegetarian or just looking to make a meatless dish.

TO START YOU’LL NEED:

6 chicken thighs or 3 breasts

1/2 white onion

3 cloves garlic

3 carrots

4 celery sticks

1 can of corn

1 can of cream of chicken soup

1/4 cup of milk

2 pie crusts

Preheat the oven to 350. Prepare pie crust in dish. Chop up the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Then brown chicken in a skillet over med / high heat. Once partially cooked add the onion, carrots, garlic cook and celery.

Once the veggies are almost cooked add the can of soup and 1/4 cup of milk. Mix to combine and add to the pie dish.

Cover with the other pie crust and decorate to your liking. You’ll want to make some air vents though. I used a diamond cookie cutter to cut the four triangles and then I placed what I used back on just lower so it looked decorative. I also used the same cutter to add the embellishment to the edges.

Put in the oven for 30 minutes until the top is lightly brown. Serves 6-8

Ingredients
