Are You 100% Sure That Heaven Will Be Your Home?
Have you ever wondered where you would go if you died today?
Let’s say you were to die right now, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven, or do you have some doubt? Would you like to know how you can be absolutely 100% sure you are going to heaven when you die?
Before I begin I want to tell you that God wants you to know how to enter Heaven. The Bible says in I John 5:13, it was written so “ye may know that ye have eternal life”.
Also in John 3:16 it says “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
He paid the ultimate price for you and I so we could spend eternity with Him, and he gives us a choice. Below, I’m going to explain what the Bible says about how you can be sure that Heaven will be your eternal home.
1. You Must Recognize That There Is A God
There is a God. He is holy, perfect and righteous. He created everything, and the Bible says God will not excuse ignorance of His existence.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.” Romans 1:18-19
The Bible Says that even the devil believes there is a God
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19
2. You Must Admit You Are A Sinner
The bible says that the requirement to enter heaven is perfection. If you have committed even one sin (like telling a lie) this makes you a sinner. Even one sin will cause you to fall short of the perfect standard God has set.
In Romans 3:10 it says “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
The word righteous means perfect. I am not perfect and neither are you. The Bible says that nobody is perfect.
It goes on to say in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Which means we have ALL sinned. Every one of us has broken God’s law and none of us are perfect. Because of our sin we can’t measure up to God’s perfect standard.
3. There Is A Penalty or Payment For Our Sin
Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Wages means payment or something you earn. The payment for our sin is death and an eternity in hell. If we continue on in our sin we will die without Christ and we will be eternally separated from God forever.
4. There Is Good News! Christ Has Paid The Penalty For OUR Sin!
Because God is a Just and righteous God he must punish us for our sin. But because he is also a merciful God he sent his son Jesus Christ to take our place and pay the price for our sin. Jesus Christ, God’s own son came to this earth in the form of man and lived a perfect life without committing any sin and died on the cross to pay for the sins of the whole world.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
God himself took your place and shed his blood on the cross so that you could have eternal life. Because he was God he conquered death and rose again the third day!
5. Eternal Life Is A Free Gift!
How long exactly is eternal life? Eternal life is FOREVER! The Bible says that eternal life is a gift. This gift is not something you can earn through good deeds, church attendance or prayer. There is nothing you can do to earn your way to heaven because we will always fall short of God’s standards because of our sinful nature.
So what do we have to do to receive a gift? Do we work for a gift in any way? Do you pay for it? A true gift is always FREE, without work or payment. Once a gift is received, it’s yours to keep and not something that you give back. That’s what grace is! It’s the unmerited favor God gives to man. We deserve nothing from God but, because of His grace (getting what we don’t deserve) mercy and love, God has extended to us a free gift.
Romans 5:18 “ Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life..
Eternal life is a free gift that you cannot pay for. The last thing Jesus said before he died was, “It is finished.” The price of sin has already been paid in full when Jesus died on the cross and rose again, proving he was who he said he was and what he would do.
To receive a gift, all you have to do is accept it.
Eternal life is the greatest gift you will ever receive if you only ask.
6. To Receive Gods Gift You Must Pray and Believe on Christ
Romans 10:9-10 says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Be saved from what? To be saved means that you will be saved from Hell and saved to Heaven
Let’s Review For A Moment:
1. Recognize There Is A God Romans 1:18-19
2. Admit You Are A Sinner Romans 3:23
3. There Is A Penalty For Sin Romans 6:23, Romans 5:12
4. Christ Paid The Penalty For Sin Romans 5:8
5. Eternal Life Is A Free Gift Romans 5:18,
6. You Must Believe On Christ To Receive The Gift Romans 10:9-10
The condition of man is simple. We are lost in sin and condemned to pay for our sin in hell. Yet God sent his only begotten son to pay the penalty for our sin on the cross. We are all left with the same choice. We can continue in sin or we can turn to Christ and believe on him.
What does it mean to believe on him? Its not just recognizing that there is a God and he exists, because in James 2:19 it says even the devil believes there’s a God. Believing on him means that you realize that you’re a sinner and you are putting your trust in Christ that he alone can save you from your sin and eternal punishment in hell.
When you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ you are entering into a relationship with God, your sins will be forgiven and Heaven will be your eternal home. If you have never asked God to forgive you of your sins and haven’t trusted him alone for eternal life. Please don’t wait or hesitate to come to Him. He is waiting for you and died for you, all you have to do is accept his free gift.
If you want to pray and ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart so that you may be saved you can pray a prayer of faith similar to the one below: (NOTE: This prayer will not save you, if you do not truly believe in your heart what your saying and confessing to God is true, then all this is in vain)
“Dear Heavenly Father,
I admit that I am a sinner and that I don’t deserve to go to Heaven. I believe that you sent your Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for my sin. I pray that you would forgive me of my sins. I am putting my trust in Jesus, and Him alone, to forgive my sin, to become my Savior, and to take me to Heaven when I die. Help me to live for you from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen ”
If you have trusted Christ as your personal Savior then you have made the best decision you will ever make—one that will change your life FOREVER!

One of my favorite sayings goes like this “I would rather spend my whole life believing in God and die to find out there isn’t, then live my whole life believing there isn’t a God and die to find out there is.”
